More Details

Health Garden’s Blue Agave Nectar is 100% all natural and organic: our agave nectar is delicious, organic, gluten-free and kosher with no harmful additives, artificial chemicals or genetically modified ingredients. Packed with antioxidants, nutrients and pure, natural sweetness, agave nectar contains no corn by-products and can be used as a substitute for high-fructose corn syrup.

Health Garden’s agave nectar is derived from the core of agave plants cultivated in Mexico. Agave nectar is heated and concentrated until it reaches a consistency slightly thinner than honey. Health Garden Blue Agave has a mild and neutral flavor. It’s sometimes used in delicate- tasting dishes and beverages. To obtain an agave syrup “light” the temperature at the hydrolysis process is around 80°C and a shorter heating time, which is required to obtain a “dark” product which must “caramelize” the sugars.

Agave nectar is safe to use in daily consumption. Agave nectar can help manage diabetes, hypertension and obesity when used in moderation as part of a healthy lifestyle!

Dental Benefits:

How does xylitol help? The bacteria are unable to digest xylitol, which reduces the overall amount of bacteria. No acid is formed so the protective enamel layer is unharmed. The reduction in acid also keeps the pH level of saliva neutral which helps protect the teeth. In addition, without sugar the bacteria has trouble sticking to teeth which casues a decrease in plaque. Xylitol can even stimulate saliva to repair damaged enamel! Many brands of toothpaste and mouthwash include xylitol for its powerful impact.

Safe for pets?:

Agave is safe for pets – it can be added into homemade dog treats, etc.
